Privacy policy
presentunda helps you give timed talks. We collect as little as possible, keep it in the European Union, never sell or share it, and you can delete it at any time.
Who is responsible
presentunda.eu is run by Dovydas Rimeisis, -, the data controller for this service. Contact: [email protected].
What presentunda does
- Plays slide decks with exact, automatic timing per slide (e.g. Ignite: 20 slides × 15 seconds) or within a time budget for the whole talk.
- Shows how much time is left, for the current slide and for the whole presentation.
- Accepts PDF and PowerPoint files, links to such files, and Google Slides decks shared with "Anyone with the link".
- Plays PowerPoint and Google Slides animations step by step.
- Checks a deck against the chosen format (number of slides, timing, text size, words per slide and more).
- PDFs you choose to keep in your browser are shown without being uploaded at all.
- With an account: a personal library of decks with their settings and speaker notes.
- Speaker notes, and a private notes view for your phone or tablet that follows the presentation live and can control it.
- Share links that let others view and play a deck, which you can switch off at any time.
Using presentunda without an account
- No account and no email address needed.
- PDFs you drop in are shown in your browser only unless you choose otherwise: they are never uploaded.
- PowerPoint files, links and Google Slides decks are converted on our server. They are kept for 24 hours and then deleted automatically. You can delete one earlier with "Delete now".
- Such a deck can only be opened in the browser that uploaded it (and by people you send a share link to).
Using presentunda with an account
- We store your email address, your name if you give one, and your password as a one-way hash (we can't read it). If you sign in with Google, we store your Google account ID and email address.
- Your decks (the original files, the converted slides, your speaker notes and settings) are kept in your library until you delete them, or your account.
- Your display preferences (format, timers, checks) are saved to your account so they follow you to other devices.
What else is recorded
- Security log: sign-ins (also failed ones), account and password changes, uploads, deletions and administrative actions, with the IP address. This protects your account and the service. Kept for 365 days; after 30 days IP addresses are shortened so they no longer identify a connection.
- Abuse protection: short-lived counters per IP address limit how often uploads and sign-ins can be tried. They are deleted after a day.
- Live presentation state (which slide is showing, for your speaker-notes view): deleted a day after the talk.
- Share and notes links: how often a link was opened and when last, so you can see it. They go with the deck.
Where your data is stored
On servers in the European Union: the database, the files of your library and the conversion of your decks all run there.
No sharing with third parties
We don't sell, rent or share your data, and there is no advertising and no tracking. Only where you use a feature that needs it, a service provider processes data on our behalf, and only for that purpose:
- Mailjet (an EU email provider) delivers account emails: confirming your email address and resetting your password.
- Google, only if you choose "Sign in with Google" or import a Google Slides deck: you then deal with Google directly, under Google's privacy policy.
- Buy Me a Coffee, only if you click the button to leave a tip: that is a separate service with its own privacy policy. presentunda doesn't load anything from it until you click.
Taking or deleting your data
- Download a copy of all your data (with your original files) under Your account → Your data.
- Delete any deck at any time from its page or your library.
- Delete your whole account under Your account: your account, all your decks, their files, notes and links are deleted at once (stored files are removed within the hour).
- Decks uploaded without an account are deleted automatically after 24 hours.
- Switch off share links and notes links at any time.
Why we may process your data (legal basis)
- To provide the service you ask for: converting and playing your decks, your account and library (performance of a contract, GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
- To keep the service secure and free from abuse: the security log and rate limits (legitimate interests, art. 6(1)(f)).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, for a copy of it, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing. Write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the data protection authority of your country.

If this policy changes, the new version is published here with a new date.
